    Hey,

if I get a Notebook that has Vista Business installed, can I get it downgraded to Home premium for free? Cuz I need the multimedia features n stuff.

If it lets you downgrade to Home Premium in the customization page, then you can. If not, then you can't. Remember that Thinkpads are business laptops, not multimedia laptops, therefore, they have Vista Business laptops preinstalled.

Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't offer a "Windows Anytime Downgrade". But if you're buying new, you can configure with whichever one you want. Also, Vista Business has some multimedia features (such as the photo program, WMP, and the non-HD version of Movie Maker), just not all of them. Vista Business also has other useful stuff, like the file versioning feature.
