Mine does. When the notebook is opened, it flexes and dips a bit when I put my wrist on it. The location it does this is roughly 1 inch to the left of the "Thinkpad" symbol.

Anyone have the same issue? I was thinking about opening it up and possibly putting some folded paper there to make it more sturdy :)

Is your palm rest secured all the way? Mine pops off pretty easily.

My T400 flexes slightly when I put pressure on it, on both the left and right sides. I don't think its a matter of flex within the notebook though, but it seems more like the rubber feet are flexing slightly since they are pretty gummy. For me atleast.

flexes like putty around the F keys (especially thinkvantage button)
also on top of the left palm rest (because of BLANK); sometimes it even clicks when i press harder

Horrible flex around the upper right area - every layer above/below the CD drive. To the point where it doesn't feel sturdy when shut.

...so does my T61; however, the keyboard is solid as a rock. You can not get a better-built laptop than a ThinkPad -- no matter how much flex you may try to find in the new and 'improved' keyboards. ;)

I disagree I own a T400, T61, R61, and Apple MacBook Pro and the Apple is way superior in built than any other laptop out there.
