    Under optical drive it says: Blu-ray /DVD Combo


    Does this mean it's a burner, or just a player?

    From my understanding playing Blu-Ray/DVD files is actually the basic feature, with an actual burner being an upgrade. So in short yes it SHOULD play Blu-Rays and DVDs.

    Typically, a seller will surely market the drive as being a BluRay burner if it was one, so I'm going to assume that they mean that it can only read BluRay disc (but it should still read and write to DVDs).
