    Does the Y580 have a Caps Lock and Num Lock indicator led indicator?

    It seems like a lot of laptops don't have this nowadays. It drives me insane.

    It has a set of LEDs on the front where the power and battery lights are. There is also a notification that pops up onscreen.

    Not without uninstalling the whole program as far as I know of, and that would also get rid of the brightness and volume keyboard shortcuts I think.

    Mine came with Win 8, and doesn't have OSD, only the (rather poorly placed) LED's. Note there is no HDD LED or indicator.

    Edit: Win 8 has what looks like its own OSD for volume and brightness.

    you can disable the OSD without uninstalling and that doesnt get rid of the shortcuts on the keyboard.. just open up task manager and kill utility.exe
