Are there NMB/ALPS/CHICONY differences in the Ideapads S10 etc.?

The S10 is an Ideapad not a ThinkPad. It uses totally different parts and is not really comparable to a ThinkPad (although I do think the S10 is one of the better netbooks).

I am not sure who makes the keyboard, but I don't think it is NMB/ALPS/Chicony. In any case the keyboard on the S10 will be undersized but firm (due to the small firm chassis) and should not flex.

Probably not since the S10 is an Ideapad, a separate product line from Thinkpad. This also means that there is only one choice when it comes to the S10. However, it also means that if the keyboard sucks, then there's mo remedy either :(
