    Does the Lenovo Y510p have a separate CMOS Battery just like in desktops? :confused:

    I don't think so. The Y500 doesn't and the mobo design should be extremely similar.

    Took the whole thing apart a few times and never found one so please enlighten us.

    It's probably well-hidden/not user-accessible.

    Here's the Y500 mobo schematic, don't see it:

    Could this be it (right side)?

    Can recall if that was removable since I never fiddled with it and it's been over a year since I last disassembled my Y500. But it's on the underside of the mobo (facing up toward keyboard), so good luck getting to it. :p
