    Hello All,

    I just got my t61p w/ vista and the DL burner and forgot to check if the original install had a burning program before I did a clean install. I did save the original swtools folder. Is there a burning software in the swtools and which folder is it in because I could not find one?

    If Lenovo does not provide and burning software other than the one included with vista, then what do people recommend for a lightweight alternative other to Nero (Read the rant below if you want to know why no more Nero for me). I have used BHA gold 8 before that came with my Y4 Panasonic because it was lightweight and simple.

    P.S. I would almost buy a copy of BHA Gold for the ThinkPad but it does not support the HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-U10N drive that I got.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NERO RANT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I tried installing a vista ready Nero 7 essentials I got from a store and it took ~20 minutes for the program to install :eek: . I only installed the burning and cover design program (insane). The install was also 1gig when I looked at it in the “add and remove program” listing. I then did the update and that showed up in “add and remove program” listing as another 700megs. This is just unacceptable. It seems like Nero installed everything but only made some parts of Nero active. Nero seems way too bloated. The only thing in Nero that is very useful is the info tool that is free to download without using Nero.
    Don't know about the t61p, but I suggest DeepBurner, a free burner that works just as good as Nero (in fact, it worked when Nero wouldn't on my old PC). Just head to Deepburner.com to download it.
    Mine didn't come with any burning software.
    And yes, Nero has gotten horrible. They need to go back to school and take introductory software engineering.
    Mine came with Roxio burning software.
    I've no idea what version this might be as I've always used Nero Version 6 in the past.
    Shouldn't the roxio setup files be in your swtools directory?
