I just wonder if it comes with a power adapter by default. Looks like it is not in the items list.
Their memory is the only part I found priced a little too high, so I ordered another 1GB Corsair System Select memory from Newegg.
My last question is that will CD-Rom be upgradable? E.g.,Where can I get a 2nd piece of battery? would it possible for Lenovo to release a Blue-Ray or HD-DVD later? I guess the worst case would be to buy a portable Blue-Ray CD-Player separately... I guess it does not matter too much. The HDD is big enough to put several Ripped Blue-Ray disks in while travelling. I just need one blue-ray drive somewhere on my desktop.
OK. Here's my last question (Really really last). Is it possible to mod the cover of the laptop (e.g., paint it like a maniac)? I know its build quality is solid as stone, but I really does not like the color of deep universe -- pure black. How can I mod (paint) it? Would it void the warranty of the laptop? It would be interesting to see a metalic or wooden Thinkpad somewhere... perfect combination of Solid build and arctic stylish...
p.s., Solid build is more important than stylish. We can make a laptop look cool, but we (as customers) cannot enhance its build quality very easily.
Thanks!

Yes they all come with a power cord and external power supply it's just not listed in your parts inventory so don't worry.

That would be funny if it didn't come with it. XD

If it doesn't have an adapter, something is wrong.
The part number for the modular battery is 40Y6789 if they are using the same one as the T60, which I would assume they are.
The T61 uses a super slim 9.5mm height drive whereas most other laptop drives are 12.7mm in height. It is one of the reasons it is so thin. If you are looking to upgrade later to a HD drive, the R61 is probably a better candidate as it uses a 12.7mm height drive and HD drives will most likely come in those sizes first.
My guess would be that painting your notebook will void the warranty. If you are inclined you should probably ask Lenovo, they'll know for sure. There already was a metallic ThinkPad, the Z series. -

The laptop is single use, and comes with a alkaline battery from the factory. After approx 2-3 hours, you will need to purchase a new battery or discard the laptop.
edit
Does T61 come with a power cord?
