    Does T500 switchable graphics require Vista?

    Had planned to buy T500 w XP but saw somewhere that switching between integrated and dedicated graphics requires Vista. Could somebody please confirm that Vista is needed to do the graphics switch on the fly.

    you can switch from integrated to dedicated graphics using the BIOS.

    What's special about Vista is, you are able to switch your graphics "on the fly"; meaning you don't have to restart your computer and go into the bios.

    very very unlikely you will see switchable on XP
