    Does R400 have a 'modular' optical drive bay like the T400?

    I know that the T400's optical drive can be removed and the bay used for a 2nd hard drive (with the appropriate adapter). Is the same true for the R400?

    Yes it does. The only variant that did not was the economy e like the R61e or the R50e. Those I supposed have been replaced the SLs now.

    Thanks! Earlier today, I suggested the R400 to a new NBR user and they purchased one from the Outlet. I was going to mention how handy the modular bay/drive is, but wanted to be certain that the R400 was so equipped.
