    when you say well protected, what sort of torture did you plan to put your laptop under? dropping the laptop case from 1 m or driving it over with a car?

    Yes, probably since the bag is for a larger machine, which should optimally be a 'right fit'. With a smaller machine (T400), there will be some play, but not much. You should be OK.

    Normally, what I do is to use a Laptop Skin which will provided a good fit with such case(s) while add more protection to the Laptop in return. :)
