I will be ordering one soon.

Once you place your order you will be given an estimated ship date. However, it may ship days (or weeks) ahead of this date, or it may be delayed right before it should ship.
Once the order is shipped (mainland China in my experience), you will be given a shipment tracking number (UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc.). You can then track your notebook from the origin, through customs, and to your final location. It took about 2 weeks for my order to ship and then <48 hours for my x200 Tablet to go from mainland China to my house in Ohio (Air to Alasks, then Kentucky hub; truck from hub to my house). -
Also after the order ships it takes about a day for tracking to show up.

Lenovo doesn't offer too much insight into the progress of your order before it ships, but once it does, they provide order tracking information.
@jonlumpkin: Did you just become moderator today, or was I just oblivious before? Congrats either way -
In my personal experience, tracking info was never provided on the order status page (still not there even though it's been delivered). I had to call Lenovo a day after I got the shipment confirmation to get the tracking number.

They do.
I ordered a T400 last week (2/26) with an estimated shipping on 3/10; however, it got shipped today from shenzhen, CN. The ETA says 1 week to get to GA. I'm hoping it will come sooner than that. Keep in mind I did not order the LED backlight screen which was estimated to add another month in order to be shipped.

What usually takes more is for the order to leave the warehouse.

I did regular ground and it got to me in 2-3 days from Shanghai, China. So I personally don't think 2 days is worth paying for because it can get stuck in customs either way. Though note I am in California.

well I hope it will get to my place as quickly as you guys

no, not really.
