For better or worse, Adobe Flash is used extensively on websites. Flash 10.1 supports hardware acceleration for Flash for some graphics cards.

Does anyone know if the discrete graphics card included with the T400/T500 is supported in Flash 10.1?

If not, performance might actually be faster when using the integrated Intel chipset..

I sure hope so; the major reason I went for the discrete graphics is to free up my CPU when streaming videos. Anyone know for sure?

At the very least lenovo will have to release an updated driver, Flash 10.1 support was enabled from catalyst 9.11 onwards. The newest version of lenovo's switchable graphics driver is at 9.7. However, I'm not sure if ATi plans to support the HD3000 series for flash 10.1 hardware acceleration. According to most of the documentation and release notes for the new drivers, they only list the HD5000 and HD4000 as being supported...
