Okay, here's the situation:
I recently purchased an Ultrabase for my X200 to use it as a desktop docking solution. I'm running dual monitors; a 20" Dell LCD via the Displayport and a 17" HP LCD off the analog. The Dell monitor has a USB hub I've connected my external HDD, printer and scanner into; I have a keyboard and mouse plugged into the Ultrabase. I'm running into a strange issue:
Whenever I try to undock the X200 while pressing the button, the undocking process inevitably fails, pointing to a "Generic USB Hub" as the culprit. Even after unplugging everything but the monitors from the Ultrabase I still get the same error? Has anyone else encountered this problem?

no.. what OS are you using? My problem is that everytime i pop my x200 into the ultrabase at work, it keeps on saying that it is a usb 1.1 hub.

I'm running Win7 x64.

i got Win 7 Ultimate x86.

Do you have the latest BIOS and graphics updates? I seem to remember some issues with dock/undock were resolved through BIOS updates for the T400/T500.

I'll check in the morning, but I'm almost certain I've got the latest BIOS on there.

Okay, I'm reporting back. I just acquired an Advanced Mini-dock for my T500. I hooked it up to the same peripherals and a couple of legacy devices as well(my old Model M keyboard and an old parallel HP Laserjet printer). The T500 undocks from this setup flawlessly.
The X200 has the 3.15 BIOS on it, with a date of 24 August 2010. My assumption is that this is the most current one available. Drivers for the X4500 are 8.15.10.2182, with a date of 19 July 2010. Looks like everything is current.
Just strange that my T500's not having any issues with docking and the X200 is. Hm.
Docking with X200 Ultrabase question?
