I've read in places that the DVI output on IBM's advanced dock officially only supports resolutions up to 1280x1024 (Or 1024x768, can't exactly remember, but not what i need). This is a little dissapointing considering I want to purchase a 22" 1680 x 1050 monitor along with my laptop. I've heard of it still working regardless, but can anyone confirm for me that the dock DVI output CAN do 1680x1050 without any problems? To me, this is a very important feature that I can't do without!

I'm using my z61t at 1680x1050 with no problems thru the Advanced dock.

No, it's not a problem at all. You could output to 1680x1050 even through the VGA connection on your laptop.
I use DVI to output to 1680x1050 from mini dock and it looks great. -
FWIW,
The "Thinkpad X60 Tablet Service and Troubleshooting Guide" on Lenovo's website has this entry in Appendix C, "Features"/"Display"...."External Monitor: Up to 2048-by-1536"

I'm running my 20" Dell 2005FPW at 1680 x 1050 in DVI mode off the advanced mini dock without any problems. It works fine. I have a T60 with the 128 MB X1400 dedicated video card. I don't think integrated video can power DVI from any of the docking stations.

I have the integrated video and it works fine at the same resolution as you (actually have the same monitor). I think the newer models with the core 2 duo support this. I have a z61t 9440D9U.
