I just bit the bullet on a T60p widescreen. Has anyone had problems with key marks on the screen?
I have seen some laptops where the screen is either scratched by the keys, or the oils from the keys works its way onto the screen. I will be transporting this laptop a lot, so I want to make sure that if I need a liner, I start using one right away. (I used to just use a thin, soft hand towel with my Toshiba.)

i had that happen to me on my sony pcg-xg500 as it had a screen guard on it from the factory. as far as i can tell, the keys sit lower than the screen by a bit on my x60. if anything, i would just get a nice 8x11 piece of paper and place it between the keys and the screen for transport.

So far, I've noticed nothing. I always have the lid closed when I'm not using it to prevent dust, etc., from getting on the keyboard and screen, and the screen's had no key marks whatsoever. I've also stuck it in a backpack a couple of times to bring to school and there have not been key marks on the screen.

while i don't encounter key marks or anything, i've noticed that a lot of dust collects on the screen. (i leave my notebook in a sleeve in my backpack)
i am going to buy one once i get the opportunity.
Do you use a liner while transporting your Thinkpad?
