is there an intake area which collects dust that we should clean out once a month or something? it seems like the t61 is hard to take apart and im afraid of opening it up to clean it. maybe i can just use compressed air to the exhaust fin area?

I've never done that with another laptop, any reason you are thinking of doing this? How long have you had it btw?

The t62p is especially clean meaning little cleaning is necessary.

I've had mine for two years and haven't opened it up to clean it yet. I did open it up a few months ago to install RAM and it was slightly dusty, but not enough to concern me. Laptops shouldn't get as dirty as desktops since they're always on the move, or should be at least (that's the point of owning one).

I occasionally open it up and blow at the keyboard and the vents/fan with my can of inert air. The keyboard can be an awesome collector of hair.
