Well, I opened this new thread trying to do a "Do it good" list; where everybody puts some question and recommendation when you are going to buy a new thinkpad. (I am buying a new Thinkpad in this days, so I need it desesperatly)
I want to start with some questions>
1) Should I get a 32-bit vista or a 64-bits vista?
2) Is a nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M(128 MB) better than a Intel GMA X3100?
3) nVIDIA Quadro's are better than the 8000's series?
4) Should i buy a turbo memory?
5) Is better to buy ram from Lenovo?
6) Xpress card, Smart card or Media card slot?
7) What is this> ThinkPad PC DOS License [add $9,850.00] , and why is SO expensive?
8) Which screen should i get? (WXGA, SXGA, etc)
9) end of the questions...for now...
I gotta thank everybody for helping and apologize if i wrote something wrong.
thanx

1) Should I get a 32-bit vista or a 64-bits vista? 64-bit if you're going Vista.
2) Is a nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M(128 MB) better than a Intel GMA X3100? Way better
3) nVIDIA Quadro's are better than the 8000's series? Quadros are workstation cards while the 8000's are consumer cards. The NVS 140M is comparable to the 8400GS.
4) Should i buy a turbo memory? No.
5) Is better to buy ram from Lenovo? Depends. If you could install ram yourself, it is cheaper to get ram from Newegg and do so. If you can't then purchasing from Lenovo is fine.
6) Xpress card, Smart card or Media card slot? What addons will you be using? If you don't think you are going to use any addons, the media card slot would probably be most useful to you.
7) What is this> ThinkPad PC DOS License [add $9,850.00] , and why is SO expensive? Probably some business deal. You probably don't need it.
8) Which screen should i get? (WXGA, SXGA, etc) Do you want the screen to be sharper but with smaller text or bigger, more readable text?
9) end of the questions...for now... -
4) So the turbo memory is useless??
5) I can buy a 2 gb ram here for 50$ and they install it for free. But i don't know if this is secure..
6) I had lots of memory sticks form sony and sd...what slot is better for this?
8) the best for photshop...and dvd's -
i think the quadro nvs 140 is the equivalent of the 8400. not sure which variant though. probably gs since lenovo usually doesn't have high/higher end graphic cards.

Keep in mind that nVidia nvs 140 will reduce your battery run time by 50%.
-
The 140M takes off about 30-45min of battery life compared to the X3100, not 50%... -
This may be starting to veer off topic, but does this Nvidia powermizer which is supposed to extend battery life by using power on demand part of the TP version?
