Hi,
I am going to order new ThinkPad T61p, but the main thing, what bothers me - is Lenovo still ship T61p's with grainy LCDs?
Also, do they still hold laptops due 6c battery shortage? and how long?
thank you

First question: I don't know (and I think you should ask the question to a Lenovo agent )
Second: Yes, they still hold laptop due to battery shortage. Regard to what I saw on their website, it'll be 4 weeks late if you decide to get 6 cell. -
agents never say the truth.
I just need to know from others, recently ordered ThinkPads and faced the truth. Does this problem still popular? -
For what it's worth, I ordered a T61p on 6/15 and it arrived on 6/23 even with a 6-cell battery made by Sony. I'm not sure how I got mine so fast considering the estimated ship date they put was around 7/21. Definitely not complaining though.
And just my experience - I received an LG display on my Thinkpad (15.4" WSXGA+). Not sure if they use Samsung displays anymore, but mine is a relatively new machine and it was LG. Hope this helps. -
I ordered mine about a month ago. there are some pictures of my samsung screen in my sig. It's at the bottom of the review.

Yes, they still have grainy Samsung panel. In may, 3 other guys form my web site and I buy a T61p WUXGA in France. We all get the Samsung LTN154U2 panel. I swap to a LG/Philips LP154WU1 witch is far better.
Do Lenovo still ship T61p's with "grainy" Samsung LCDs?
