    Do I have an LED or CCFL?

    assuming i'm no expert that can tell just from looking at the screen itself, is there a way to tell whether i have an LED or CCFL? looking at what was ordered doesn't count, because it can be wrong.

    do a parts lookup and post the FRU of the screen here. people will be able to tell.

    You could always go into the control panel > Device Manager > Monitors > Properties > Details Tab > Hardware ID drop down > then google the hardware ID. You might not have any joy though.
