i ask this because while i did order LED, they wrongly shipped a few parts and i had to do a return. the first return packing slip says LED clearly, while the other one doesn't, so i think they may not have shipped an led this time.

is there a way to conclusively determine whether they shipped out an led monitor as they should have, as opposed to a ccfl?

Try PC Wizard 2008 and see what info it gives on the panel.
