Hi I'm getting a lenovo T500 and I want to connect it to my lcd tv via the displayport with some kind of adapter to HDMI. I found two types of adapters one of wich is flexible (which I would prefer) but looks cheaper and it's actually more expensive than the one that is not flexible.
Can anyone comment on the performance of these two adapters?
This is the flexible one:

This is the not-flexible:

I leaning towards the flexible because I would like to minimize the strain on the displayport port but I don't know if performance-wise the two would be the same. I'd like to know if someone is using one or the other and how did it go.
Thanks

I have the "flexible" one. Works fine. No sound though, but you probably already knew that.

i have the monoprice one, works perfect.

I think I'll get the flexible one if no one has something else to add
Thanks -
Flexible is probably best. I have a monoprice displayport to DVI and while it functions it puts a lot of weight on the connection with a DVI cable, so flexible is ideal.

But I am pretty sure most displayport implementations on laptops are just video at the moment. -
I little of feedback on this matter...
I finally got the flexible type and is working ok.
Thanks to everyone for their opinions.
