Which one to choose if there is no price difference? I'm looking at x220i.

(and by the way the only difference I see between x220i and x220 is the processor and windows 7 home vs. pro, is that what makes the "i"?)

The 3x3 antenna is for the Intel 6300 wifi card. If it's the same cost I would opt for the 3x3 just in case you might want to upgrade the wifi card at a later date.
Yes, the i just denotes a core i3. It's the slowest model. You can upgrade only to an i5-2410 with it.

You can't have the camera with the 3x3 though.

If you aren't getting a camera than I would definitely get the 3x3 as you willl be able to pull in weaker wifi signals.

Sitting in my apt now the 3x3 antenna in my W520 picks up 11 possible wifi signals. The X220 sitting right next to it picks up the strongest 7 of those with its 2x2 antenna.

Thanks. I don't need the camera.
