This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Display settings get messed up when Docking.

    When I dock my T61 in the Advanced Mini Dock, it *should* automatically detect the external monitor (Dell 2407 on DVI) and turn off the laptop display. Sometimes it does that, and sometimes it sets the resolution on the laptop to the minimum and doesn't detect the external monitor. This is extremely annoying.

    Is there a setting somewhere that I can set so it *always* turns off the laptop display and sets the external monitor to 1920 x 1200 resolution when I dock it?

    Any ideas?
