    Currently I have a 14" T42. I am thinking of replacing it with a 14.1" WXGA T61.

Will this be a step down from a display quality perspective? I think my current display (IBM0A55 according to the monitor device manager) is quite good but the few times I have seen T61s in stores the colors don't look as vibrant and the text isn't as crisp as it is on my T42.

Is this because of the store lighting or is it because the display on the T42 is much better than that of a T61 or is it due to Windows Vista on the store machines vs XP on my T42?
