I have an IBM 600E and the display is starting to flicker, but I can still use it. What happens is that it sometimes gets very bright, more bright than normal, and also stays in that too bright state.

I suspect something will break soon. Can you judge from your experience what it will be, will I have to replace one or both of the tube light bulbs, or maybe the flickering is a sign of a dying inverter?
