From last few days , I am facing some weird issue with my Lenovo SL410 purchased in April -2010. The entire display has been shifted to left and entire right hand side of display (approx. 0.5 inch) shows black strip. But interestingly I observed that if I keep lappy unused for 2-3 days , then for the first time booting this issue is not seen.
I even tried entering the BIOS and it also shows the shifted display issue.
I am not sure as rest of functionality is perfectly working fine and I did not observe any issue besides this at all.
Any clue what can be reason ?

It reminds me the eMac display "raster shift" problem back in the day. I don't know if they ever fixed that or not.

Have you tried experimenting with the refresh rate? Then with other display settings? Does it go away if you power the display off then immediately back on? Drivers?
