I am buying a thinkpad and have these options for wireless config:
ThinkPad b/g/n
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000
These are the same price. What is the difference?
For an extra $20 I can get Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 (2x2 AGN) - is there any reason to do so?

OK, that was funny like three years ago. I went with the ThinkPad card as I'm cheap and I don't need anything great. I don't have any numbers for you, but I wouldn't expect one to be markedly better than other. The 3x3 antenna might be worth a look if you need better range or throughput, though if you're just going on the internet, it probably doesn't matter much and the 3x3 antennas preclude you from having the camera if you care.

If it's the same price, definitely go with the Intel card. Better driver support in Windows and Linux, and consistently less problems connecting than the Realtek Thinkpad b/g/n card. If you will be using WiFi in high-volume areas where there are a lot of computers connecting to one WiFi network, or in areas with low signal strength, the 6205 may be worth the money.
Different wireless options - which one?
