...under the "Features" and "Compare" tabs. In a nutshell, there isn't much difference between the R61 and R61i, they call one the home office model - the main difference is between the 14.1 and 15.4 models. The R61e is the no frills, budget laptop and only available with a 15.4" screen. -
Thanks. my wife has the 15.4 inch i with XP Pro, basic configuration, and I have the 15.4 inch e, XP Pro, tricked up with 2G ram, bigger and faster HD and 2.4G dual core cpu. Cost about the same on both.

I should also add that the R61e does not have a touchpad. That may be important for some people.

The CPU selection is different too.
R61e starts at Celeron.
R61i starts at Pentium Dual Core.
R61 starts at Core 2 Duo.
R61e and R61i only comes with integrated GPU. Only R61 gets the option of discrete GPU. -

Some of the R61is lack a touchpad and docking port depending on machine type.
