I can upgrade to a 3 year on site with Thinkpad Protection for about $311

How much will I save by doing this when I buy the thinkpad as oppose to upgrading to it later?

I want to do this but drives the cost of the thinkpad 25%.

I would go for the 3 year depo warranty as it will not drive the cost up to much at $120. Basically it just means that you will have to mail the notebook in for repair or take to a repair center as apposed to them coming to you. I could be mistaken but that is how I read it.
