hunts- thank you for trying- i tried that, that's not a valid part number, it's an installation number.

Also, everyone, the UWB chip comes without screws, nor the cable.

That means on top of the UWB chip, we need to find part numbers for two screws, the antenna cable, and the antenna. and maybe mounting hardware for that antenna. I really wish there was someone at Lenovo that knew how to build this laptop from scratch...

I don't remember if I posted this or not, but I received the UWB adapater, but did not recieve screws, or the cable, or the antenna.

Okay my bad, I didn't look at the directions closely enough, they give you the screws you need too:

i don't think you can have just a uwb antenna without the card, if that's what you mean?

If you guys can find a site where they sell the UWB antennas and modules that'd be great

 

havent found it yet. Who actually makes this UWB module? Lenovo is the only one showing that part number so I have to assume that is Lenovos internal part number only...we have a make or model on it?

To install, do searches for those part numbers in the hardware maintenance manual that hunts--4bargin dug up. Btw, +reps to you hunts--4bargin, you found the maintenance manual and the part number for that antenna.

The reason we may all want to go with the nylon screws only found in the Lenovo kit is because nyloin screws don't come out, and are more reliable, they say that you should use each screw only once, which explains why the bloody pack is so big.

Shipping: Don't order separately as it costs 13.50/shipment no matter how big or small the purchase, I made the mistake of separating out my UWB card shipment from the antenna and screw shipment, since I didn't have the additional part numbers yet, nor did I know if the antenna and screws came with the card, they don't.

 

I have a T61p with UWB/WUSB coming. My order was taking forever to ship, so I called to ask some questions since I was considering to cancel my 15.4" and replace it with an order for the 14" model, but he said that UWB isn't being offered with the 14" model since there isn't enough room to fit it in; so according to the rep, only the 15" models can accomodate the UWB/WUSB.
