Hey guys, just finished a clean install of vista ultimate 64bit on my t400. Device manager is showing under "Other Devices" a listing for "PCI Simple Communications Controller". It tells me that the device driver is not installed. What does it mean? Does it mean my chipset driver? That was first thing I installed after the reinstall. I do have turbo memory; does it mean that?

    Thanks for any help!

No, I did not install intel AMT, because I thought it was unnecessary. This is my personal laptop, and is not remotely managed. Can I ignore this? Thanks.

Sure. If you don't need it, you don't have to install the driver. But if you want get rid of the exclamation mark you could do it, boot into the BIOS and disable AMT Control.
