I have the T61 described in my signature, and I use it fairly regularly to connect to a projector to give powerpoint presentations.

Whenever I come out of presentation mode, the desktop background goes gray for a few seconds, then changes to an image that I had set as my background a few months ago. This is pretty annoying, as I like to change my background pretty regularly.

    Any ideas?

Open the presentation manager and edit the configuration you are using. There is an option to select desktop background when that profile is being used.

There isn't a way to make it so it doesn't have to be changed in the presentation manager?

I change is often using Firefox or windows explorer, and don't want to have to bother with presentation manager.

If you don't use presentation manager, I think maybe uninstalling it might help.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't think you needed presentation manager to output to a projector.

I'm not sure that I do. If I don't, then I can just uninstall.

    Does anyone know?
