Well recently I purchased a Lenovo T61P, to be specific on October 5th.
When I received it all seemed well and I continued using the laptop until I received my 4GB of RAM. Turns out the motherboard had issues supporting that amount of RAM, so I sent it in for repairs.
Well a few days ago I received my laptop back, upon picking it up out of the box I noticed a peculiar noise. Upon lifting the cover for the touchpad up to replace the stock RAM I noticed numerous screws missing...
I immediately called Lenovo and sigh...yet again another depot repair, preparing to drop it off tomorrow. (Saturday)
Now my question is, what steps can I do to ensure this doesn't happen again? What if I receive it back yet again with issues? To be honest if it was within my thirty day period for a return I propably would have just returned it. (I seem to have horrid luck with laptops, first HP and now Lenovo)
Any advice and/or help would be appreciated, I need a reliable laptop for my college courses and all these issues are troubling me! (Not to mention frustrating, as someone with quite a bit of IT experience I can't help but doubt Lenovo's abilities...)
Thanks

Does anyone know how I can possibly get in contact with a manager other than calling technical support and requesting my case be elevated? (That's if I can even manage to get them to do that)
I just really want this to be resolved, either with a fully functional ThinkPad or a full refund. =)

Depending on where you live, if the machine comes back again from the depot with issues, or if the depot takes what you deem an excessive amount of time to repair the problem, then you may qualify for a full refund and possibly more in damages under your state's lemon laws. Even if you don't have the resources or time to take them to court, making the threat would probably be sufficient to get you your money or machine back in a timely-ish manner. Don't forget about the Better Business Bureau, either.
