hej everybody, I might ask some silly questions, but I would really appreciate your replays.
well, I am going to buy my first laptop which I should use it for the next three years. I'm going to use it for some programming, math/statistics, and of course internet and movies. I read many product specifications and I really like the lower budget Thinkpads R50e and R52 and, maybe surpraisingly, Fujitsu- Siemens' Amilo A1650G.
I would really want to buy a Thinkpad, there's still not clear yet which one should I buy- the R50e is an older model, but still good and robust, while R52 has a slightly better grafic, is more expensive, and still missing dvd writter and having only 40gb hardisk.
I read that Fujitsu has some good and reliable products and the mentioned model has a very attractive price(given the Turion processor, I suppose) + 24 months guarantee(is same for IBM Norway). Hard to choose,at least for me :(
so any suggestion is more that welcome!

When the choice is between a Thinkpad and another company, and you're not getting the notebook for gaming, then go for the Thinkpad. Only the choice between Apple MBP and Thinkpad is difficult. :D

Get the R52 as it is a full featured Notebook unlike the R50e.

R52 is the best of all Rxx models ever produced, and closest to its sophisticated sibling: the T43. Go for R52.
