I have had my W510 for about a month now and I just got a dead pixel almost dead center in the screen.

Has this happened to anyone before? What is Lenovo's policy on dead pixels?

Three or more to get a replacement. You can call and ask since it's in the center of the screen.

I am up to about 6-7 now in a 1/2" cluster. Has anyone else had this issue and had their screen replaced? How long does the process take? It is fairly hard for me to not have my laptop for a week.

You could consider upgrading from depot warranty to on-site service if you don't wish to be without it. If your laptop is your lifeline, it's usually best to have onsite as part of your warranty.

I would make sure if upgrading the warranty in that manner, that you can file a claim like this right away.
