I have a 3 year old T60. All of a sudden, the T60 can't "see" all my USB flash drives. One of the flash drives works though, in all three of the USB ports. The USB printer cable works, no problem. Then the Ethernet port went out. The same cable, same connection works in my other laptop, so I know it's the T60. I haven't yet had a chance to see if the wifi works.

    I'm a newb. Have no idea what/how!

    Help! thanks in advance.

Try a Linux disc to see if it works. If it does, then it's probably a software issue. If not, you'll probably need a new board.

You could try Ubuntu. Just download it from their site. You needn't install it cause it can run from the CD. The ethernet and USB ports should work out of the box.

I think you may be frightening people with this strange Linux voodoo you speak of.

This could be a temporary (or permanent) problem due to overheating.
Do you monitor the temps regularly?
