Man am I bummed, I just recived my new T60 on Monday and today discoverd a dead pixel on the screen. I called Lenovo and after being told 3 or 4 times that one dead pixel does is not enough warrent a return for a new machine, I need either 4 or 5 for that to happen, I finally spoke to a sales guy named Ryan who got it all taken care of. My new machine should be built sometime next week, the estimated ship date is 6/01 but seeing as my estimed ship date for this machine im on now was 5/15 I believe I will get it much sooner.

Out of curosity has anyone else run into this problem, and do you think It was overkill to request and get a new machine? Also what should I take off my machine before I send it in, I have installed a few games and other random programs?

    Thanks

Wish someone could take a picture of a screen with 1-2 dead pixels so I could see how distracting it is. If I had a dead pixel on my screen, I doubt I would even notice unless someone pointed it out. THEN it would be in my FACE every time I looked at the screen. Just like a ding on a windshield. They're hard to see until you see them and then you see them every time you drive the car.

Two of my three desktop LCDs and my T41 had stuck pixels. I never noticed them unless the screen was black.

I was unaware you could even try to fix the pixel, but I took a look at the links lapman posted and none of the methods worked for me :(. I guess I will be without my thinkpad for a few more weeks once I send it out on Monday
