Has anyone had any success using Daemon Tools on their new T510 or T410 (Win7 x64)? I get the following error when trying to create a virtual drive (SCSI):

    "Unable to add adapter"
I think the reason is because my SCSI adapter is "not enabled" but I don't know how to go about fixing that.

Any ideas? Apologies if this is off-topic, but this forum has proven to be the best case to come with Thinkpad problems :)

EDIT1: Just tried Alcohol 52% too.... and a similar error occurs but this time it gives a little more information:

So I gather that this is a problem other people have met.

EDIT2: Found an answer in another thread; http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=463976

You can use virtualclone as it said in that topic but just remember that it doesn't do all the proprietary formats. You can get daemon tools to install though if you do the SPTD stuff. I have both though and I normally use virtualclone.

Can you explain how you were able to install daemon tools. I was never able to and I followed their procedure for installing if you run into the unable to add adapter error. Thanks.

I honestly don't remember since I probably installed it 8 months ago. I most likely just google around and figured it out some how. Sorry.

Does virtualclone drive provide support for the container type you're trying to mount?

VirtualClone drive is able to mount all the images I've thrown at it so far. I was just curious how you were able to install daemon tools in case I run into something I can't mount with VirtualClone drive. If this happens I'll just google around like you suggested until I get it figured out. Thanks.

Or you can try Virtual Clonedrive, which seems to just work for me...
