I've read the DVI port on the T42 docking station will only output 1280x1024. Is that the whole truth?

I was wondering if it's possible to drive a 1920x1200 monitor off of it. I'm running Windows 7 and my GPU is the ATI Fire GL 128MB

My T42 did 1600x1200, but I don't know about 1920x1200 or Windows 7 as it was five years ago.

I wouldn't mind a little extra desktop space, and I'd add an external 1600x1200 monitor if they came in 15" sizes. It's a shame you can't buy external monitors to match the pixel density of laptop displays. It's too hard to move your eyes back and forth between two screens with vastly different pixel densities.

by installing the omega catalyst driver from around 2 to 3 years ago, you can get it work with 1920 x 1200 resolution. Not sure about Win 7 driver support though.
