I have been experiencing an annoying problem with the DVD-RAM UJ-862 on my T61. Once in a while -- especially when tilting the computer -- I'm getting an error message about Windows not being able to eject the drive as it is in use. Occasionally, the drive just disconnects itself. The problem started under XP but persists after upgrading to Windows 7. Also, bought a replacement drive, but the problem persists. However, the drive burns and reads DVDs without any problems besides the occasional error message described above.

I have tried to find drive updates for my DVD-RAM but there's nothing available. Also, the BIOS update for T61 is pretty old (2007).

Any help or suggestions highly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Allan
