I thought that my T61P was capable of writing Dual Layer DVD's, but it doesn't recognize them at all... here is the line from the order

    42V8172 SBB DVD REC.8XMAXDUAL LAY UB-S

    Am I reading this wrong?

Are you trying to burn to dvd-ram disk or dvd+r disk? Because, I am wondering, is there such a thing as a dual layer dvd-ram? I know there's dual sided dvd-ram, but dual layer?

What type/brand of media are you using?
And what software are you trying to burn with?
