    Well I'm in possession of the XP r-dvd, and I want to install it as a second operating system on a stock T400 with Vista Business.....Has anyone tried this?...Any suggestions on how?

    Yes it's possible to dual boot Vista and XP, though it doesn't sound like you have a legit license.
