Does anyone know where I could find a 2GB DDR3 SODIMM that is compatible with the Thinkpad T400/500?
I looked on Newegg and they were pretty much sold out. I cannot find this directly on Lenovo's site although a Lenovo rep gave me a quote which is more expensive than Newegg's.
Any suggestions on what to get that will match the one in the laptop so I can run dual-channel properly?
Thanks!

too bad -
Which one are you referring to now?
-
Well when I order my T400 the ram upgrade was cheapter from lenovo than what newegg had at the moment.

as was mine too but mine was off the Canadian order if that makes any difference.

For a 4GB?
-
configured with 2gb single dim then add another 2gb from accessories
-
That's what I also plan to do, but can you let me know where I can get that additional 2GB at? I don't see it in accessories.

I try doing a search, i couldn't find it on the US site (surprisingly) but i found it on the canadian site: http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/webca/LenovoPortal/en_CA/catalog.workflow:item.detail?GroupID=38&Code=43R1988¤t-category-id=9B7E41BDCE704020B8E567C67D3FA082
I read on this forum that people called in to get another stick of ram so you might have to do that.
For once, us Canadians have something the other countries don't, how comforting lol -
Yea, a rep just told me I can add this to my order by emailing. Will have to check the pricing.
