After doing some research on these forums I found that the DDR2-800 memory will get downgraded to the DDR2-667 memory. However, these posts were made last year. I bought my T61 in May of 2008, have their been any motherboard changes? Also is there any way to trick the system to use DDR2-800... or higher?

    Thanks!

Since the T61 has the PM/GM 965 chipset, so it won't support DDR2-800 ram, and will downclock to 667MHz.
