I have tried all I could to determine the RAM, CPU-Z,GPU-Z, sisoftshandar....whatever
They all said that my W500 builds with DDR2 ram, not DDR3
However, I cannot believe these software, I have ordered the W500, which is with DDR3, and the product list also says it's with DDR3 ram
    What's the problem?
Any one suggest a good software to check?

Pull the RAM chip out and count the number of pins on it. If it is 200 pins, you have DDR2. If you count 204 pins, you have DDR3.

The software is wrong, those packages don't yet understand laptop DDR3.

Since DDR2 and DDR3 are NOT compatible and it is unlikely the W500 has two separate sets of memory slots (I know T400 does NOT), there is no way you have DDR2 memory.

Four screws and two minutes, then your eyeballs can tell you the reality and settle all questions.
