    Yes...what i want to do is be able to customize a notebook for use in Canada.
    Lenovo, nor visaperks wont let me get what I really want: IE atheros card, 9 cell.

    I made an earlier post about ordering from the USA and using the thinkpad here..but some models have valid warranty here some dont. Where is the link where I can look up machine type to see if warranty service is valid in Canada.

    Option #2: I read somewhere that EPP sales Canada can configure notebooks over the phone just like in the good old USA, is this true?

    go to lenovo's site
    then go to support
    then warranty
    and there is a international warranty thing there

    im buying from the US and bringing it back here!
