    Hey,

    There is currently a deal for t430 ( Lenovo ThinkPad T430 Laptop: i5 3210M 2.5GHz CPU, 4GB DDR3, 320GB HDD, 14.0" (1600x900) LCD, DVDRW, NVIDIA NVS 5400M, WiFi N, 6 Cell, Win 7 Prem $636 + Free shipping - Slickdeals.net) and I am very interested in getting one. I was wondering what current owners thing about their T430. i will be getting the discrete video card, upgrade 1600x900 screen, i5 processor, backlit keyboard and webcam.

    I am currently using a T61, which is just turning 4 years old. I would add that I love my T61, and if the T430 matches it's build quality, I'm all in.

    Here's my thought on the T430, great notebook, but average screen, though your T61 screen probably isn't better. You can read the review linked in my signature if you want more detail.

    T430's build quality is not good as your t61.

    No, it is.

    If anything, the T430 isn't likely to run into the hinge problems that most T61s do.
