Current Shipment Delays?

Ya, mine got updated with the same status, guess there was some improper paper work first time around ( at least that's wht i heard from UPS when i spoke to them in the morning), i am guessing it would be couple of more days before we get our laptops.

 

Update:

Mine is scheduled to be delivered on 12/17 , hoping the same with every one else from the same lot. Will update once i get my hands on it.

It is here! Ordered 12/02, Shipped 12/09, Received 12/16. Two full weeks.

It was worth the wait, laptop looks better than expected, (for now) loving the smaller size.

Time to start disabling and uninstalling

btw, when do they charge the credit card ? once items being receive or dispatch from CN / US ?

Doesn't seem like mine is going to be delivered today either , there is no update on UPS page since yesterday, still it shows the scheduled delivery date as 12/17, and the one i spoke with on the phone doesn't really help either ( please call back us if you don't receive the package , that's all i get to hear from the lady on the other side) , very frustrating ..

Got mine today, and not really impressed with the over all system, its kinda slow for my liking ( was expecting a faster boot up and faster loading of applications), my 3 yr old HP NC series is doing better than this top of the line thinkpad, just hoping that it would take little time for the new system to settle in. Windows experience index on my HP is 4.1 ( Intel T2500 @ 2.0 GHZ with 3GB DDR2 RAM) and my T400 is 4.7 (T9600 @ 2.8 GHZ with 4GB DDR3 RAM), doesnt impress me at all...

 

Wow, T61 W764 exp is 4.7. All stock no mods ie SSD. 3GB RAM with Intel Turbo making 4GB. 2.2 GhZ Intel Centrino Pro Dual Core. 7200 RPM HDD. The video card NVS 140 is my limitation.

My T61 has been reliabe as heck though. Love it for that.

Turn off the Aero even in W7. Makes it zippier.

 

T400 ordered 12/10 @ 8:00 PM, estimated ship date was 12/18, shipment email sent 12/14.

What graphics option did you choose? My T61p has a 5.7 rating (Win7x64), so it sounds like it's just 1 score holding you back.

 

I have ATI MOBILTY RADEON 3470 256 MB, will run the test again to see if it gets any better.

 

Have you removed the ThinkVantage software that you don't use yet?

If not, that would explain your experience.

 

You need to uncheck most of the startup applications and uninstall the trial software....

 

I haven't deleted that yet, was just thinking would it be much better if i go for a clean install than removing all the thinkpad software, let me know your thoughts, and if at all i have to keep the original what all should i get rid of, thank you all for your time.

i'm pissed. i ordered on 12/10, original est shp date was 12/18, then an email pushing back to 12/21. now no emails, but order status website says 12/28.

i'm calling and cancelling my order.

 

ordered on 12/18 est ship 1/8 and just got email confirming shippment 12/24. i guess with all the disappointments mine got queued ahead.

i was gonna cancel but the coupon "USPNOTEBOOKS" i used was to hard to pass on.
