So all the games I've been throwing at my T61p have been running great so I thought why not give the Crysis demo a whirl. I don't expect much, but I'm already having issues just at the main menu, haven't even gotten a level loaded up.
The first time I booted up my mouse was misaligned. The pointer couldn't reach the left third of the screen and would highlight the menu buttons while hovering on areas nowhere near them. Second time booting up alignment was fine but as soon as I started clicking on a couple of menu's I got a bunch of flickering, then freeze, then black screen, and then a box saying the crytek2 engine stopped working and then kicked me out to my desktop.
When I installed the demo it prompted me that windows was missing an important update. Something to do with virtual memory. I went ahead and downloaded it and installed it. I am also running the latest modded 8600gt drivers (at least the latest that I am aware of, from the thread in this forum). Anyone else experience this issue?

I am running the Crysis Demo in FX 570m mode with 174.30 drivers and It plays and looks awesome.
I can play it with the stock FX 570m drivers too.
Do you have the 15.4" screen? -

Well for whatever reason I tried again for the third time and haven;'t had any problems. I have the 15.4" with FX570.
What settings do you guys use to get the best visuals to performance ratio?
